How a Folsom Brewery Got 5 Screens, Indoor and Outdoor Sound, AI Cameras, and Security Lighting — All on One Platform
Folsom, CA
The Challenge
Before FollowThrough Works
A growing brewery and taproom in Folsom had outgrown its technology setup. Consumer TVs were mounted throughout the taproom with no way to manage them centrally — different remotes, different inputs, and no outdoor coverage for the patio. Sound was handled by a Bluetooth speaker behind the bar. Security was a single consumer camera pointed at the front door.
The owner wanted to upgrade the entire guest experience — displays that looked professional, sound that actually covered the patio, cameras that could help investigate incidents, and security lighting that worked with the camera system. And they wanted it all to be manageable by bar staff without calling IT.
What We Deployed
Our Solution
We designed and installed a unified AV and security platform built on UniFi infrastructure — one network, one management dashboard, one vendor.
Five commercial displays were positioned across indoor taproom areas and the outdoor patio, all managed from a single wall controller at the bar. Indoor and outdoor distributed speakers were zoned separately, with the same wall controller handling volume and source switching for both. AI cameras with security lighting were installed at entrances, the bar area, the production floor perimeter, and the parking lot — integrated with the same network as the displays and speakers.
The entire system — AV, cameras, access control, and security lighting — is managed through a single platform. Bar staff can control every screen and speaker from one panel. Management can pull camera footage or check access logs from their phone.
The Result
The Outcome
The taproom now operates with a fully unified AV and security platform. Staff manages every screen and audio zone from one wall panel — no remotes, no separate apps, no calls to IT. The outdoor patio has consistent audio coverage for the first time. AI cameras with integrated security lighting cover every entry point and the parking lot, with footage searchable by description rather than requiring manual scrubbing.
The owner cited the single-platform management as the most valuable outcome — one login, one support number, and full visibility into the building’s technology from anywhere.
